Informed by the Usability Test, this piece discussed the content strategy for Tempe Yarn and Fiber, the scope for improving the website, structural changes that need to be made, reorganization of information architecture, a draft skeleton of the website, and finalized wireframes (i.e., a website blueprint) demonstrating the UX strategy. This piece includes more extensive recommendations for overall usability than was provided in the Usability Test report.
Each layer of UX strategy was researched from a theoretical perspective as it pertains to the company. Graphical treatments such as fonts, color palettes, and a quick style guide were informed by the website’s current structure with improvements for clarity and consistency. The previous usability tests heavily informed the Interaction Design component by determining what areas of interactivity were the most crucial to update. These insights were employed in designing the final surface level with user-anticipated navigation bars, search functionality, clickable images, and footer information.
